Yes! We love Macs and originally designed the system for them. PCs use the lightweight WinRUF agent which runs as a Windows service.
Does the system support PCs and Macs?
We have taken a great amount of care to minimise the computer and network load - the only time your people will notice the software is installed is when they haven't completed their timesheets!
Will the system slow down our computers or network?
Overview
You specify a time period and a minimum number of hours in the RUF Dashboard, the system automagically take care of the rest.
For example, some customers set the enforcement period to two weeks and the quota to 37.5 hours (a typical weeks worth of time). This prevents timesheets from being more than a week out of date.
Other customers demand a month of timesheet compliance up to the previous working day - it's totally up to you and very easy to change going forward.
How does it all work?
So what if there is missing time?
You can choose what you want to happen (within reason!). We find that selective blocking of certain websites, for example social media, sporting and news outlets, can serve as an effective reminder for people to complete their timesheets.
If this isn't successful, or is seen as too draconian, we can adjust the measures taken to ensure a good cultural fit with your organisation.
When would it block their website access?
The system polices continually, when a user signs in the system will detect whether or not an appropriate amount of time has been accounted for within 15 minutes.
